Day 92 – Back to Brum: Our friends Pippa and Ruth came to visit this weekend so we took them into Birmingham for a look round the German market. I ate Ostrich burger – it was awesome – and we didn’t get too crushed in the crazy Christmas crowds, which was a bonus!
Day 77 – Getting Festive in Solihull: After work tonight I ventured into Solihull armed with camera and tripod to photograph the lights and the German Market. This pic is my favourite so far, taken from behind Touhwood Shopping Centre and given the HDR touch.
Day 70 – Christmas is coming: Today I got to be at the launch of Solihull’s first Christmas market. I mingled with the Mayor, members of Cabinet and various important people in the Council, and also got to enjoy some fun German music courtesy of this fellow and his friend. If you get chance go to Solihull and check it out, it’s all happening in Mell Square.
Day 56 – Walking in a Wetter Wonderland: After work I checked out Birmingham’s annual German Christmas market today, however, the heavy rain made it a somewhat miserable experience. Hopefully I’ll be going back on a drier night when I can be bothered to take more pictures – the one above does sum up the general mood for today though!
