Day 296 – The End: Our hols came to an end today. Before going away I’d invested in my first ND grad filter to try and do a proper sunset picture. This is one of my favourites so far, just a shame the night I went to the beach the sunset was pretty lame! Oh yeah, in unrelated news, happy birthday to my Dad!
Day 211 – Through the Looking Glass: As part of Ellie’s birthday weekend, her bestest friend Pippa has come to stay. I grabbed this portrait of her today, which owes muchos inspiration credit to this excellent blog post by fellow West Midlands snapper, Mr Chris Barber – thanks Chris!
Day 210 – Happy Birthday Ellie!: Today is Ellie’s 23rd birthday, so happy birthday to her! We had a great day wandering around Birmingham, which included stopping at the excellent Warehouse Cafe in Digbeth – which is also where I took this portrait.
Day 207 – It’s a Wrap: Ellie worked late tonight which meant I had chance to wrap up her birthday presents (it’s her birthday on Friday). You’ll have to wait to see what she got though!
Day 176 – Happy Birthday Fi: Today, Ellie’s baby sister, Fi, turned 21 and we marked the occasion with a big family dinner complete with handmade name tags. Happy birthday Fi!
Day 155 – It’s Definitely Been Photoshopped: This weekend is the 20th birthday of Photoshop, so I’ve posted one of my favourite ‘shopped images with me as an entire band! You can also see a full blog post about this on my main blog by clicking this lushious link.
Day 154 – Metal Master: Today is the birthday of legendary guitarist Tony Iommi, who I was lucky enough to photograph back in 2007 when Heaven and Hell toured. Happy birthday Mr Iommi!
Day 88 – Happy birthday to me!: Today I turned 24 and did quite well out of it as you can see! I also went to the Dogs with Ellie and all of our parents this evening and ended up £2.50 up! And to top it all off, the Villa won as well – what a day!
Day 59 – Happy Birthday Mum!: Another day, another family birthday. Today is my mum’s, but obviusly I can’t reveal any numbers! We popped over this evening to see her and deliver her present and card. This cake was baked and decorated by my Dad, and a good job he did too. Happy birthday Mum!
Day 58 – A Sheffield Celebration: We drove up to Sheffield today to join the rest of Ellie’s family for a meal celebrating her uncle’s 60th birthday. Undoubtedly a time for champagne, although it didn’t exactly go well with the wonderful cupcakes that we had instead of a traditional birthday cake. Cheers!
