Day 353 – Swing low: More rugby today, this time the final of the women’s world cup between England and New Zealand. We had a nightmare mission to get there, and missed most of the first half but crucially none of the points being scored. NZ won 13-10, great atmosphere and our seats made for good toytown fodder shots.

Day 352 – Grassroots: What with the internationals cutting the football fixture list down to size today, I was instead on duty for The Rugby Paper and went to Hinckley, newly promoted to National League 3 (South). The difference between rugby clubs’ facilities at this level compared to football (the equivalent to League 2) is amazing – this rugby club is still a local club. Hinckley lost 30-35 to Old Albanians – 8 tries, great game, nightmare to fit into 220 words.

Day 297 – Keep Your Eyes on the Prize: Unless you suck, you’ll know it’s the world cup final tonight. Holland and Spain will be battling it out to win the trophy for the first time. I, on the other hand, have already won silverware this year in the shape of this magnificent trophy, awarded to me for coming top in a mini fantasy six nations run by my mum. I bet the Dutch and Spanish are PROPER jealous!

Day 197 – Reporting For Duty: Finally, after months of not being able to do it, today I was back out reporting, like I was on the very first day of this blog. Today I was at Coventry Rugby to watch a dire relegation battle against Moseley for The Rugby Paper. Cov won 6-3 and this pic shows my view from the press box before kick-off.

Day 158 – Mini Rugby: I just discovered a brilliant photoshop effect that gives a false tilt and shift look, which essentially make things look like toys. great fun – and almost a return of the little people!

Day 148 – Defend This House: Today I got to experience a Six Nations match for the first time actually watching it live. Ellie and I went down to Cardiff to watch Wales amazingly comeback abnd beat Scotland with the final play of the match. It was thrilling and a match I doubt I’ll ever forget.

Day 141 – DDD: While it may look like I’m ready to hit the beach as an emo blues brother, these super-cool specs are in fact 3D glasses, which I wore to watch Wales lose to England on a big screen. watching sport in 3D was an interesting experience, but I’m not really sure it adds that much. The result didn’t help either!
