Day 289 – Awesomeman: So, we made it to Pembrokeshire safe and sound and headed straight to the beach, which is a 15 minute walk from our holiday cottage. Beaches are great for fun pictures…they also turn Nic into his superhero alter-ego – when Nic hits the beach he becomes Awesomeman, special power…being awesome.
Day 287 – Best Wishes to Matthew: Today I heard that Matthew Leone, Madina Lake’s bassist who I interviewed and photographed last October, was viciously attacked in Chicago after stopping a guy beating up his wife. Matthew is currently in a very serious condition in hospital, my thoughts are with him, his family and bandmates.
Day 274 – On the Telly!: More exciting Gardeners’ World Live news, we got on the telly today, on Gardeners’ World itself. This water feature is made from an old grit bin and an old can recycling bin.
Day 271 – The Other Dave: Today was quite a big one at work for me, as I finally got to see the Gardeners’ World Live show garden that I’ve been doing the press for. It’s called Alice in Biodiversity Land and has some awesome features in it, including Dave the Dodo, who is made from recycled drinks cans.
Day 263 – Performance and Cocktails: I was very sad today to hear that former Steroephonics drummer Stuart Cable had died. He was a great player and always seemed to enjoy himself. I shot this pic of him drumming for the Stone Gods in 2008. RIP Stuart.
Day 246 – Festival Season is Coming!: Found out today that I will be shooting Sonisphere this July! It will be my first ever festival and I can’t wait. There’s some great bands playing and hardly any that I’ve shot before, apart from these guys – Papa Roach.
Day 245 – Save the Date: We made some Save the Date bookmarks for our wedding guests and they arrived today. They look awesome and here’s one of the shots we used. If you get one from us, hope you like it!
Day 240 – Smile!: Our good friend Pippa is up this weekend and she helped us with a wedding-related photo project, this picture being a test shot from said project. Yes, I’m being mysterious but I don’t want to ruin any surprises!
Day 239 – Dog Days: Today has been a good day – I found out that I’ve passed my 6-month probation at work and have been asked to stay on beyond my current contract, then I also got to photograph Hiccup the dog again along with two blokes dressed as dogs…brilliant!
Day 146 – Legend: As well chatting to Johnny from JFAC, I also got to interview Lamb of God’s drummer Chris Adler on Tuesday. In my opinion he is the best drummer in modern metal and he also has a mighty fine beard as you can see above! Chris was really great to chat to, very humble, very down to earth…just very, very nice!
