Day 359 – Can’t see the Forest for the trees: I was back on football league duty today, this time trekking over to Nottingham for Forest v Millwall. The outside of the City Ground makes you remember the fact that Forest used to be quite good.

Day 345 – Leicester Style: I was on football reporting duty again tonight, this time making my first visit to the Walkers Stadium for Leicester City v Reading. It was the evening game, so my deadline was tighter than usual, so a goal four minutes from time then a disallowed equaliser in injury time was not appreciated!

Day 338 – Down at the Pirelli: Back off holiday and straight back into football league action – today I was reporting on Burton Albion’s lucky 3-2 win against Morcambe. Very nice little ground and club at Burton, I would gladly go back.

Day 324 – Football’s Back: Today is the first day of the football league season, which means I was back reporting for the League Paper. Today I was sent to Coventry to see the Sky Blues beat newly relegated Portsmouth. Good game and a good experience.

Day 297 – Keep Your Eyes on the Prize: Unless you suck, you’ll know it’s the world cup final tonight. Holland and Spain will be battling it out to win the trophy for the first time. I, on the other hand, have already won silverware this year in the shape of this magnificent trophy, awarded to me for coming top in a mini fantasy six nations run by my mum. I bet the Dutch and Spanish are PROPER jealous!

Day 276 – Victory: Look at this. This is MY world cup wallchart, which is on my living room wall, NEXT TO THE TV. I feel this is a small victory, particularly when I hear that my Dad is not allowed one up. men, grab the bluetac, pick your spot and put that wallchart up in its rightful place – where EVERYONE can see it!!
