Day 360 – Fuzzed Box: This weekend was ArtsFest weekend in Brum and we headed into town with my parentals to see some of the action. Dad wanted to see Fuzzbox – Birmingham’s most successful instrument-playing girl group no less. They sucked, singer out of tune and guitarist out of time, couldn’t form chords properly and played a shit pink guitar to boot. However, it was free so not to worry! We also checked out the Steve McCurry retrospective photography exhibition in the Waterhall – amazing!

Day 347 – I’m with the band: If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you’ll know me and my pal Herby are starting a new band. Well today I tried out a drummer – the picture is obviously not him, it’s a Marshall cabinet signed by Jim Marshall. He was pretty good and we’re meeting again next week…the band is on!

Day 315 – I MAX!: Went to see the amazing Toy Story 3 tonight at the equally impressive IMAX cinema in Birmingham – well worth the couple of quid more than you have to pay Odeon in my book, much better 3D experience.

Day 311 – Skater Boi: Mum and Dad came over today and we went for lunch in Moseley then for a stroll round Cannon Hill Park. In said park we met this chap who, at first, was clinging onto a lamppost for dear life. However, it was all a con, because as soon as a crowd gathered he was off, zig-zagging, legs wide apart, even backwards! Brilliant!

Day 301 – Delicious: Tonight we had a treat to celebrate meeting up with our friend Kate and went for tea at the excellent Warehouse Cafe in Digbeth – a vegetarian eatery. You should go, it’s awesome!

Day 300 – Owzat?: 300 days down! Anyway, we were at Edgbaston tonight taking in our first experience of Twenty 20 cricket, with a match between Warwickshire and Yorkshire. After dodging the rain, Warks won and the game was alright, although I probably won’t be in a great rush to go again any time soon. Give me football any day!
