Day 355 – I am the band: Another jam session with my potential new drummer, Will, today and it went well again, so I won’t have to resort to being the entire band!

Day 354 – Foul play: While I was in Hinckley at the weekend I noticed this sprayed on the path, a great idea, really effective.

Day 353 – Swing low: More rugby today, this time the final of the women’s world cup between England and New Zealand. We had a nightmare mission to get there, and missed most of the first half but crucially none of the points being scored. NZ won 13-10, great atmosphere and our seats made for good toytown fodder shots.

Day 352 – Grassroots: What with the internationals cutting the football fixture list down to size today, I was instead on duty for The Rugby Paper and went to Hinckley, newly promoted to National League 3 (South). The difference between rugby clubs’ facilities at this level compared to football (the equivalent to League 2) is amazing – this rugby club is still a local club. Hinckley lost 30-35 to Old Albanians – 8 tries, great game, nightmare to fit into 220 words.

Day 351 – A visit from Ruth: Our friend Ruth came to see us tonight having just been volunteering in Romania. This portrait was taken on my bargain Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens, gotta love that bokeh!

Day 350 – REDO Pakistan: A one-day exhibition came to Solihull Gallery today called REDO Pakistan, I particularly liked this t-shirt.

Day 348 – Bananas!: Another one from Reading, here’s some Blink 182 bananas – three of your five a day!

Day 347 – I’m with the band: If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you’ll know me and my pal Herby are starting a new band. Well today I tried out a drummer – the picture is obviously not him, it’s a Marshall cabinet signed by Jim Marshall. He was pretty good and we’re meeting again next week…the band is on!
